The Presenters (2005)

For the initial 28 day RSL we needed to utilise people who have been involved in radio before, and were able to use the studio without too much assistance. Several members of the group had been on the air already, many as part of the 1997-98 RSL's that operated in central Doncaster, which provided the licence that Trax FM won.

It's not just a case of going in and playing your own favourite tracks. All presenters are being taught structured programming skills, which will allow them to provide a wide range of music and features.

Nobody on this station is paid for their work, it is all voluntary. We are not looking for the next Chris Evans, this is community radio. Whilst everyone is entitled to their say, it is not possible to train hundreds of people and we may have to turn some people down if we don't feel they are going to be suitable.

Like any radio station, there are rules and regulations. We cannot carry items that are (for example) political, religious, racist, abusive or factually incorrect. There should be no swearing or sexual references, a breach of the regulations could result in a massive fine, and closure of the station.

Presenters from the Summer 2005 RSL included:
Malcolm Lindley (Malcolm Lee):

Was part of the Doncaster FM team in 1997, Malcolm is Chair of the management group behind TMCR

Gordon Sharpe:

Another veteran of Doncaster FM, also worked on Don Valley Country FM and D106.6 during the Doncaster RSL's of 1997-98. Gordon is also a presenter on Trust AM, the hospital radio station in Doncaster and Bassetlaw.

John Morris:

Our country music specialist, John has worked on many RSL's plus BBC and ILR stations.

Steve Wood:

Was with Don Valley Country in 1997 and D106.6 in 1998, Steve has been with Priory FM in Grantham as well.
