TMCR is on the airwaves as a full-time radio station in North-East Doncaster.

TMCR FM will cover Thorne, Moorends, Fishlake, Stainforth, Dunscroft, Hatfield, Dunsville, and more, broadcasting on 95.3FM 24 hours a day.

Community Radio is a new type of radio, we are not here to pay shareholders from the profits as we are a not-for-profit group. The majority of the staff are volunteers, but we are not pirates either. This is a fully licensed station.

Our aim is not just to entertain you but to provide interaction with the many features we will have. TMCR will be working with many other groups and public bodies to bring you the information and news about your local area.

Full time broadcasts were scheduled to start at 9.53am on 16th November 2009. This was POSTPONED due to delays in the funding process. We applied to 3 separate funding bodies in June 2009. The Lottery 'Awards for All' scheme has granted our bid for the transmission equipment. A bid for the cost of licensing was finally granted in October. A bid made to South Yorkshire Key Fund was rejected, which set the plans back by several weeks.

Only through the determination of the core management have we been able to pull this out of the hat at the very last minute - our invitation to broadcast would have expired on December 20th.
